Heading 1, 3, 4 ,5 and 6 not visible in Chrome and Firefox

Hi everybody,

Apologies in advance. I'm the new functional administrator of Foswiki in my organization, but I've never worked with it before so I'm still a novice.

A user of our Foswiki noticed that the headings in his wiki pages aren't visible. I've narrowed it down to the following:

It only applies to Heading 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Heading 2 is still visible.
It only applies to Chrome (we are using version 63.0.3239.84) and Firefox (we are using version 57.0.4). All the headings are visible in IE (we are using version 11.850.15063.0) and Edge.
It occurs in existing headings and newly created headings.

Is this a known issues for some/one of you? Or could you help me troubleshoot this issue?

I've not seen anything like this happening. Can you check PatternSkinElements to see if that displays correctly. It displays just fine for me on Firefox 57.0.4 here. Chrome 63.0.3239.84 works fine too. Foswiki 1.1.8 is quite ancient, and no longer supported. It may be that the old version of foswiki is emitting deprecated HTML. If you use Firefox to display the page source (Ctrl-U) it will often highlight what it thinks are HTML errors in a different color.

I had a version of Foswiki 1.1.8 installed on an old test system. PatternSkinElements displays on firefox just fine there as well. Does your site have any customized css? That could explain issues.

Hi GeorgeClark, I forgot to mention it in my previous comment. Thanks to your pointer, I found out we do have customized css and I think that the cause of our problem is in our colors.css. I've found a line and if I change that line from color: #0000; to color: #000000; the headings are displayed just fine. I will ask our technical administrator to change the colors.css. We will do that first in our test environment just in case we don't bump into other problems just in case. Thanks again for your quick reply and your help.
