User registration - user-topic without email?

In the process of registration, the user will be written into WikiUsers and in parallel in the .htpasswd.

The email-adress will/must be written in the .htpasswd, but not in the user-topic. Why!?

Would be great, if both happens automatically. Or it should be configurable.

Basically this is redundancy. The email part of .htpasswd is required for all sorts of things such as authentication, logging in, notifications, password resets and the like. Storing an email in the user's profile page is of no use at all other than letting other people know your password. If you just want to display a user's email then use the VarUSERINFO macro.
