Feature Proposal: Use a Foswiki app to develop WikiApps

Motivation

We can make WikiApp development much much easier by using the building blocks we use in our WikiApps.

Description and Documentation

Start with a 'create new DataForm' WebForm in the DataForm topic.

add a sprinkling of EditTablePlugin boilerplate, a dash of View and Edit Templates, some buttons and indicators, and perhaps we'll make fewer typos.

I've begun work on it hope that other WikiApp-ers will add their magics just like we did with the WikIGroups UI.

feel free to add suggestions - at this point I'm finding lots of little bugs / impedances we can improve on too.

What's the status of this work?

Can we plan it for 2.0 instead of 1.2?

Isn't this kind of work better kept in an extension?

I am degrading this feature and removing it from the foswiki 1.2.0 branch as the CommittedDevelopers seem to have abandoned this work. Work done as part of Tasks.Item11764 has been moved from trunk to scratch in subversion. In case this work gets picked up again, please first continue as a foswiki extension until things are matured enough.

Changed to Parked. The scratch branch was never migrated to Github, but still remains in our archived svn repostitory if someone wants to pick this one up. b
