JonMcCoy Would Like to Check-in
Who am I?
I started building web apps using Perl back in the late 90's, though my Perl is quite rusty - I've been using Ruby since 2005-6, with the majority of my Perl development phasing out not long after. That said, I'm now working on some major projects based around learning and knowledge sharing, so I'm spending a significant amount of time working on Foswiki deployments - there's an incentive now to get back into Perl for bug fixes and custom plugins.
I've been implementing wikis for over 2 decades, switching from
MediaWiki to Foswiki around 2009-10, deploying them in businesses in many varying ways (from documentation platforms and read-only publishing, to collaborative Intranets and even using them personally for documenting and managing life and hobbies).

What do I want?
write access to the foswiki github account for the following repositories or tools:
- Access: Core
- Access:
- Access: wikiplugins
What can I do?
I'm a good technical writer, being used to figuring out how things work the hard way, and keep lots of notes as I do - documentation is my main incentive at the moment, along with bug fixes (predominantly in the front end).
Why do I want to do it?
I really enjoy using Foswiki - it's definitely one of the best platforms out there, and I'm keen to contribute to its longevity.
In digging much deeper into the core and many plugins, I've hit some big stumbling points and gaps in the documentation, so I'm keen to update/improve documentation on conceptual topics (ie best practices) and on implementation of numerous plugins (ie
WikiWorkbench) that I've been working with.
