Feature Proposal: No link to self

Motivation

Imagine your wiki contains a topic name "UNO" telling readers everything about the United Nations. Then this topic will probably contain a hundred occurrences of the string "UNO" each of which will be rendered as a link pointing to the current page. Of course one can write "!UNO" instead of "UNO", but why? There's really no point in having a page containing a hundred links to itself.

Description and Documentation

Modify the linkification code so that a CamelCase string or an acronym which is identical to the value of %TOPIC% does not create a link.

Discussion

Have you considered switching off autolinking all together adding
   * Set NOAUTOLINK = on

Yes. But disabling autolinking completely would remove one of the Wiki's key functionalities. So this is not really an alternative. And it would completely break the users' expectations.
