Feature Proposal: One Time Notification for Topic Creation

Motivation

Limits subscriptions as to reduce inbox clutter but lets everyone know that a topic of possible interest has been created.

Description and Documentation

My users would like to be able to create a topic and notify the rest of their team that a topic has been created and include a URL for subscription to the topic. They don't want to have the team subscribed by default, they just want to notify everyone that it has been created.

certainly a useful enhancement for MailerContrib (i presume). probably want to be able to specify some amount of time after the initial page creation (such as the default lease time), in order to allow for the typical behavior of several saves when a page is first created.
