Where do I create an admin account?

If you have just installed Foswiki, and you can run bin/configure from your browser without any errors, you are ready to be the first user.

The old way: put yourself in the AdminGroup:

1. Create a user account for yourself (in Registration)
2. Add your name in Main/AdminGroup, and protect that topic by following the instructions in the text

This method is still widely in use, especially if you will be partaking in the Foswiki site.

But you can speed up this process by using the username suggested in configure (default admin), with the configure password you have set.

• Login as the internal administrator:
  • internal admin login (use the password set in configure).
• Logout from administrator:
  • click the Logout link
