How to embed meta data?

How do I embed the date and person associated with an attachment so it can be viewed in the topic? Generally the attachment will be on the same topic.

For example, I want to display:

[<nop>[Link to attachment]] - upload date, upload person

Where there are several attachments to the topic, I only want to show this info for one attachment at a time, not the whole table.

I've reviewed MetaData and VarMETA but either can't find the solution there or am not understanding something.

Any suggestions please?

See in your System/QuerySearch and System/VarQUERY. There are info on how to query for meta data with examples. The query syntax in QuerySearch works with the %QUERY{.. macro.
