Long lines truncated

Long lines of text which do not wrap, e.g. code, are truncated. There does not seem to be any way to eyeball the whole line (except skin=plain). This problem is exacerbated when the user has fewer pixels to play with, e.g. smaller/older screen, not full-screen, larger browser font size, but still happens occasionally within the most luxurious setups.

Is there a way around it?
