Change the userinterface language from english to german

How do I change the Userinterface Language from english to german?

I found the following description (look at the picture - source: http://foswiki.org/Development/TranslationUserInterface - ). But I couldn't found the file "Foswiki.pot". How could I find this file ? Would I name the file german.po? And should this file be included in another file?

Or is there another description to change the language?

What you found was information for developers on how to build the string files to support a new language.

Foswiki already provides translations for many strings and messages, but not for the general wiki topics themselves. To use internationalization, it needs to be enabled in bin/configure

• Under "Internationalization" tab, languages sub-tab, Enable {UserInterfaceInternationalisation}, and then enable any language translations you want available.
• Under the "Locale" sub-tab, you might consider enabling Locales and setting the site character set. Caution: This is a bit experimental, and can cause issues.

If you want to enable Locales, it might be best to discuss this on the IRC channel with others who are running with Locales enabled. It can be a bit challenging.

Note that our development version of Foswiki at http://trunk.foswiki.org/ is configured with Internationalization enabled, but Locale's disabled. You can log into that site with the userid/password that you created on foswiki.org.

Thanks. I found it yesterday and realised it. But now I have another problem with the apache from xampp. I experied with the foswiki editor and created a new page and wrote a text, linked a pdf- file and have uploade a picture. At the end of the day I closed the browser and stopped the apache and than I got an error. This error exists today, too.

"Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly. This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies, improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method. Press the Logs button to view error logs and check the Windows Event Viewer for more clues If you need more help, copy and post this entire log window on the forums"

apache is working right now. A php5 file cannot be found. I copied the php5 file into the folder than it starts without errors
