This question about Using an extension: Answered
Is there a setting to allow both "username" and "[email protected]" to work as login names?
I noticed the setting for "Normalize Login Names" but this seems to only apply for normalizing names coming
from the LDAP server. Is there a some other setting - or could there be - to allow both of these forms of login names to be entered by users on the login screen?
I ask because this is actually a common source of "failed to authenticate" problems from users on my site. I could improve the template to show better help - but it seems that it would be better (in my case at least) to just accept both forms of login and ignore / strip of the @mycompany.com part when present.

Not by now. Probably a missing feature letting people log in using their email address as well. For now people on your site will simply have to log in using their login name as configured in your LDAP (e.g. their sAMAccountName aka windows login name)
