This question about Using an extension: Answered
Wysiwyg editor not working for a user
Start presentation
Slide 1: Hello Foswiki World,
I am the owner of "
https://istenovaisguvenligi.com/ ". Although as an ordinary user I can edit webs/topics by using both,
WYSIWYG and
Topic Markup Language, some of our other registered users can not use
WYSIWYG as you can see below. Our system force them to use only TML which make things so difficult for us. Could you please inform me how to overcome this issue? What we want is to enable all of the registered users to have right to use
WYSIWYG and
Topic Markup Language together for editing the pages.
Thanks in advance.
Slide 2: By the way
let me add another print screen, while I am trying to edit the topic. As can be seen as a user I am able to edit the topic by using
WYSIWYG. But another registered user
EmrahAkın (
https://istenovaisguvenligi.com/bin/view/Main/EmrahAk%c4%b1n ) is not allowed to use
WYSIWYG editor.
Best wishes

There are a couple of possibilities to check out.
- Make sure the user doesn't have some sort of script blocker installed in the browser. If the javascript can't execute, you might fall back to the old plain text editor.
- Check the user's topic - make sure that the NOWYSIWYG setting is not set either in the topic text or in the topic meta settings.
I think that there are some other ways to disable WYSIWYG but the NOWYSIWYG setting is the most common.
You could also look for javascript errors in the user's browser log. It could be something failing too - not sure what though.

Hello George,
Unfortunately we couldn't still find a solution for above matter. I guess the problem results from the "Turkish alphabets" I used for creating "Web & Topic Names".
For example, I have a web in my Foswiki, named "Müşteriler" (
https://istenovaisguvenligi.com/bin/view/Müşteriler/WebHome ) which has lots of subwebs like "
https://istenovaisguvenligi.com/bin/view/Müşteriler/İmaj/WebHome ". As you can see "Müşteriler" and "İmaj" have some Turkish alphabets such as "ş, İ". When I create a user and define his&her access rights to some webs, WYSIWYG editors fails while they are trying to edit those webs/topics. Do you think this can be a failure reason?
So, I would like to change the Turkish alphabets of web/topic names with the English one. Here is my question: Is it possible to change them without destroying / collapsing my wiki contents together with "WikiWord" links.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure this is the problem. I've created Müşteriler web and İmaj subweb on my local wiki, and editing seems to be working fine. I also registered the same user
EmrahAkın and when logged in with that user editing still worked fine.

Could you have the user run the browser web tools / network trace. Have them click edit, and see if any of the background requests for javascript files, css, etc. fail?

Had the same problem - it was the ALLOWWEBVIEW setting in the System Web
