MetaCommentPluginNotVisibleInNatSkin

I have a problem with the MetaCommentPlugin. The comment section of a topic is perfectly visible and funtional with the Pattern skin and the settings: 
   * #Set SKIN = metacomment, pattern
   * #Set DISPLAYCOMMENTS = on

but there is nothing visible with the settings 
   * #Set SKIN = nat
   * #Set DISPLAYCOMMENTS = on

What am I missing? (# in front of Set only to prevent settings here on this topic)
