Install Image::Magick on strawberry-perl
I'm trying to create a FOSWIKI-Installation on a
WinXP with the strawberry-installer
Foswiki-1.0.8-1-strawberry.exe. FOSWIKI runs fine but I don't get the
ImagePlugin installed cause it needs the
Image::Magick package.
Where is my mistake?
See also installation-logs in
CPANLog.txt.
Is there somebody who has successfully installed
Image::Magick with strawberry-perl?

I've run into the same issue. It appears that this is a known issue. See
http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14814 I have not tried the workaround documented in the discussion. (Image::Magick install assumes the Microsoft compiler, but Strawberry perl uses the mingw compiler.)

Thank you for the link: The workaround ist to complex for me cause I'm not a perl/unix-programmer. It seems that there is nor ready-to-use subversion trunk avaible, so I have to wait and hope for the
Image::Magick version 6.59 .

Bad news: Today I installed
ImageMagick-6.5.9-0-Q16-windows-dll, create the .a-libraries as described in
http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14814, but CPAN delivers same error message as described above.
Has anyone an idea? Otherwise I have to surrender for my windows-foswiki.... It seem's to be a good idea to deliver the
Image::Magick directly with the Foswiki-1.0.8-1-strawberry.exe-Package to arrive more windows-users.
