Most media types not working in IE8

I just installed the MediaPlugin, and tried it out one Chrome, Firefox, and IE. It works fine on Firefox and Chrome, but on IE8 most of the media types don't work. Specifically, of the examples on the plugin page, the following don't work:

• wmv
• swf
• swf with params
• YouTube
• Yahoo Maps
• html
• midi

Also the digg labs example doesn't work on any browser. I think that one is just due to a stale link.

The ones that do work are:

• png
• pdf

I'm running IE8. I'm guessing that there is something about the generated HTML that IE doesn't like. Any ideas? Is there a fix or patch for this?

Try JQueryMedia part of JQueryPlugin.
