perhaps not - in that we should have a simple Plugin example for non-techy plugin authors, and a richer one for more complex issues.

A link to Support.BestPracticeTip18 should be enough.

It provides some rough numbers comparing two different versions of TwistyPlugin - both versions are in svn, so the astute coder can compare those two versions to get an idea of how to convert a plugin to lazy-loading core code.
