Item10383: JQuerySimpleModal sample window isn't displayed properly in 1.1.2 (was good in 1.1.1)
Priority: Normal
Current State: Closed
Released In: 1.1.5
Target Release: patch
Applies To: Extension
Component: JQueryPlugin
Branches: Release01x01 trunk
I'm comparing the examples on
JQuerySimpleModal between Foswiki 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. There are a few display problems introduced in 1.1.2.
- In 1.1.1, the window is displayed in the center of the screen. In 1.1.2, the window fills the entire browser window horizontally except that the content is all the way on the left (and the rest of the space is just empty).
- The example popup window has two fields: First Name and Last Name. In 1.1.2 they take up a huge amount of vertical space. (Looks like each div takes up exactly as much vertical space as the entire popup)

I just tried it on trunk.foswiki.org and both of these display problems are fixed. The popup still isn't quite as good as in 1.1.1 - there is no whitespace around the window.

Could you please try the latest
JQueryPlugin again. Maybe attach a screenshot. Thanks.

Just tried www.foswiki.org with safari (on a Mac) and IE 7.0.5730.13 (on a PC). Looks great in Safari, but broken in IE. My apologies for not giving the browser info before. I see a javascript error in IE "Object doesn't support this property or method Line 14 character 822". Is there a way that I can force the .uncompressed files to be used? I see that you just uploaded a new
JQueryPlugin - will try it with that one.
Update - same behavior on IE using basically stock 1.1.2 with
JQueryPlugin 4.10, except that I don't get javascript errors any more.

Behavior with 1.1.4 b2 : the first link doesn't work at all. The second link looks fine in the latest safari (on a Mac) and has the same problem on IE 7.0.5730.13
