The following principle is now the rule for Extensions
The extension topic is in Extensions web with the same name as the extension.
The support topic is in Support web and it is a simple topic with the same name as the extension. It contains a simple
INCLUDE of
ExtensionHub.
The bug reporting topic is in Tasks web with the same name as the extension. It shows all open bugs and has a button to submit a new bug report.
The development topic is in Development web with the same name as the extension. It is a free format discussion topic to be used to discuss features and ideas for the specific extension. Default extensions will point to the feature proposal page for submission of feature requests.
The hub to jump to Tasks, and Development will be the topic in Support web. The
ExtensionHub ensures this is the case the same way for all extensions.
Each extension will eventually have the Feedback line in the bottom table replaced by
The appraisal link is removed.
So in short summary:
Extensions have a topic with their name in Tasks, Support, Development, and Extensions webs, and the Support topic is the hub to the Task and Development topics. Plugins link to the Extensions and Support web only.
Remember to do these steps
- Create the topics in Tasks (normally already created), Support and Development webs
- Replace content of any existing xxxDev topic in Extensions web by a link to the Support web Extension topic
- Replace the link in the extension topic on SVN. It is OK to keep the version number if this is the only change you do.
- Either manully edit the Extension topic or re-upload the extension using BuildContrib
- If you port a plugin from (tm)wiki consider to put important notes from the old Dev topic on the extension topic in Development web.
On this bug item I first checkin the update to all default extensions. Extension authors can use this bug item later also if this is the only update they do.

i've added a link to the Development topic from
Tasks.Component. now you can reach the download, support, and development pages from each plugin's main page in Tasks.
