Configure still having difficulty with quoted strings, and pseudo-installed extensions.
- Default git checkout of trunk
- Installed EditChapterPlugin using
pseudo-install.pl
- Enabled the extension
- Visited InstalledExtensions
- #1 Extension failed to enable because
{module}
was not configured
- Visited configure, enabled expert parameters
- Navigated to
{Plugins}{EditChapterPlugin}{module}
and clicked the "restore default" button
- Saved configuration
- Module now set to:
$Foswiki::cfg{Plugins}{EditChapterPlugin}{Module} = '\'Foswiki::Plugins::EditChapterPlugin\'';
- #2 InstalledExtensions now reports:
'Foswiki::Plugins::EditChapterPlugin' could not be loaded. Errors were:
syntax error at (eval 74) line 1, near "use 'Foswiki::Plugins::EditChapterPlugin'"
The two errors above,
#1 might be an artifact of Pseudo-install, unsure.
#2 is a configure issue I suspect.

Just tried to complete the steps you describe
but it worked perfectly up to step 3. Questions:
So, I deleted the {Module} setting in
LocalSite.cfg to see if I could reproduce the rest. The default was wrong - I that.
But I don't know what went wrong for you in the beginning.....

This seems to be fixed, in that the button to restore the default Module setting is gone.
That was the bug. The Default was wrong.
I did simple pseudoinstall somePlugin no other options.
