I need something like this:

  * Set SKIN = %IF{ "context isadmin" then="pattern" else="other"}%

but it does not work.

Right, this is not going to work %MACROS are expanded during the rendering process. The skin is set very early as it's used during rendering. I'll mark this as needing a feature proposal.

You could set the SKIN in the admin user's home topics so that they get pattern skin. I don't know how to do this dynamically.
