When Foswiki is installed from the debian package, the configure page does not show any images. It shows the text alternate instead. I saw this on Ubuntu 8.10.

I traced the problem to the location of the logos/ directory. In a debian install, the logos directory is beneath pub, but the configure script executes with the current directory set to .../cgi-bin/foswiki. configure opens the files with 'logos/' . $image and that open fails because logos/ is not beneath cgi-bin/foswiki when installing from the debian package.
