I have ported SignaturePlugin to the Foswiki API and directory structures, and updated it to use approved APIs instead of $user->... methods. Added code to resolve group membership for signatures.

As I'm not an SVN developer, though I might end up there one day, I've packaged the updates up and attached them at DonWennick.

I hope it's useful for someone.

I finished the job (there were a few small misses) and put it on SVN and released it to Extensions web.

You should apply for SVN checkin.
