The name of a nested web in the web indicator (top left bar) is different from the name in the breadcrumb. It proves to be hard to make it consistent.
Let's say I have a nested web 'Myweb' in Sandbox. In the left bar it is written Sandbox.Myweb, in the breadcrumd Sandbox/Myweb.
This is because the notation
%WEB%
for a subweb is
Parentweb/Subweb
. But when you try to make a link with
[[%WEB%]]
, a question mark is displayed. So to make it a link, you must write
[[%WEB%.%HOMETOPIC%][%WEB%]]
, but this is displayed as
Parentweb.Subweb
.
The reason that a slash is displayed in the breadcrumb is because the breadcrumb uses a
<a href
.
Also note that
$indentedname
for a subweb can only be used with a
%WEBLIST%
, and that will display the subweb without the parent web.
Quite a mess.
My feeling is that the name of a subweb should be without the parent web name (no dot, no slash). The breadcrumb should display the hierarchy like:
TWiki > Parent web > Sub web > MyTopic
AC
The syntax / and . are pretty mu7ch interchangeable as web separators, and have been since hierarchical webs were invented. My impulse is to leave this as-is, and focus on the discussion that is attempting to normalise the web separator to / instead of .
Either way, this is low priority.

Appears to be fixed in 1.1.3beta1 - both the breadcrumb and web bar use the slash notation.
