We will need a concept for that, that needs to be approved by the community.

I am not sure I understand the request right so let us clarify.
Do you want a place where companies or individuals can post tasks they want done by a developer or supporter.
Ie you have maybe a special plugin you want made and you are willing to pay someone to do it?
No, I am envisioning a company, that wants to hire somebody as an employee to work on their foswiki implementation. Also consultants could search for people to help them do their Foswiki-projects. --

As answered on #foswiki
[14:19]
Good I asked for clarification.
[14:20] I am worried some of the puritane people on the project will see this as an open door for advertizing. It is commonly known that companies put job adds for non-existing jobs to signal growth and to create positive awareness. When people apply they get a friendly - position is already filled.
[14:21] On t.o there was a place where people could post "Developer Wanted" or something similar. I doubt anyone really made any serious contact there.
[14:22] But I am not the one that will say No to trying the proposal. It needs other to give a chance to voice for or against.
So that was just one little opinion. Since we do not have anything else, abuse the feature proposal application to raise the subject. Then we can if needed vote on it. Expect some resistance.
Afaik we agreed on "no ads on this site" and made one exception for the WikiConsultants page. We should be careful with establishing another one and another one and another one...

I think, we do not have a common wish for establishing this, so I will close that issue now. -- MartinSeibert - 31 Jan 2009
