I would love to see an enhancement to TWiki whereby I could define tooltips on mouseover for any TWiki link I make.

Suggested syntax:

   [[link tooltip="foo"][linked words]]

Hm, maybe TWiki:Plugins.LinkOptionsPlugin could/should be enhanced for something like that. Try a feature request there.

TWiki:Plugins.ToolTipPlugin has some other crazy features that could be useful if used with care. Do you use it?

Would be nice to have. But needs a proposal. And a developer.

This is also in conflict with the automatic LINKTOOLTIPINFO setting. When enabled, every wikiword link gets a tooltip of the target topic's revision information. (EXPENSIVE and disabled by default)

Regarding above comments about ToolTipPlugin, Probably better to recommend the JQuery based Tooltips.
