I am strongly against this proposal as I have also written on the topic above.

The proposal is to hide for the users the name of the form so it becomes more difficult to understand how the TWiki application is made up and to quickly modify the form. You will have to edit the topic to see the name. And if you cannot edit you cannot see the form name. Horrible.

It goes against what TWiki is all about. The whole idea of wikies is to enabling people instead of preventing them. Having the form name visible is an enabler.

Hiding things is going back to the dark ages of webmasters syndrome.

If you need to hide the form name from your users in a specific application Thomas then hack your own templates.

I have changed the topic name to reflect what exactly is proposed.

I am open to any proposal to make the form name less prominent but I want it visible in normal view mode in our default skin.

And please don't do anything until 4.1 is released. Skin design changes of any kind always trigger a long row of other bugs and we need to close exiting bugs now.

Ken, I think you are overreacting. We all want TWiki to be user editable. But as I wrote in the topic, we also want to be able to focus on relevant information, and the form name, I beg to differ from you, is hardly relevant in 99.9999% of all situations when someone looks at the topic.

The goal is to make the rendered form more relevant to the user and thus I have changed the topic name once more to express this better. -- TW
