When I use UTF-8 characters as field names, I can no longer save data in those specific fields.
Before installing DBContrib, I could have a field name called 電子メール (email) in Japanese and be able to save data, but after installing the data disappears.

I am on Foswiki 1.0.4. This is rather urgent for me because my clients want to use Japanese in their data forms, not English. So having data in dataforms disappear makes Foswiki very difficult to use.
How could this be related to
DBCachePlugin? Hard to test for people that don't speak Chinese...Anybody out there that can confirm & track it down?

Apologize for the long hiatus, I was a bit busy. As for the bug, it only happens when I have the DBCache Contrib installed. Otherwise, form fields, simple templates, and search functions still work. I have tested it again in Foswiki 1.0.6. If you store a Field name in Japanese, then the data point will not save and the data ends up disappearing.
However, it works fine with English Field names and Japanese Data.
