Item8639: Wrong formatting of the Wikipedia InterWiki reference to Crontab article in SiteTools to be corrected on Foswiki.org too
Priority: Normal
Current State: Closed
Released In:
Target Release: n/a
Applies To: Web Site
Component: Documentation
Branches:
Same fixes as
distro:9c094c355153 distro:097708facc40 need to be applied to Foswiki.org's page:
In
SiteTools, formatting of the
InterWiki is wrong and needs to be changed from Wikipedia.org:Crontab to
Wikipedia:Crontab
I committed it to branches/foswiki.org on SVN but the page
SiteTools is still unchanged. Apparently, someone has to push this change from SVN into the site directory structure.
Please, someone with this kind of access, copy branches/foswiki.org/core/data/System/SiteTools.txt to the adequate corresponding directory in foswiki.org.
Thanks.

Until someone in
InfrastructureTaskTeam pushes the changes I commited on foswiki.org, I set the status of this item to "Waiting for release".

That is just editing the actual page in a browser.
The foswiki.org topics get updated when we upgrade the site. And we sometimes also upgrade individual pages manually.
But you have to be in the
AdminGroup to edit System web on foswiki.org. We had to limit access because of spam.
I fix that. If same situation comes up - just catch someone on IRC and have him fix the page using his browser.
The foswiki.org branch was a trial we did. It turned out to be so troublesome to keep the site up to date using SVN that the site was not upgraded for nearly a year. At the end we were a majority that decided to install and upgrade foswiki.org the same way as our end users do. And since then our site has been upgraded within days after each Foswiki release using the upgrade packages I build.

Thanks for doing that, and for your clear explanations
