The reference to the Task that is mailed looks like this: 

http://foswiki.org/Tasks/Item8640 :  Add ...

It has a space between 'Item8640' and ':'. If you copy this in your svn commit message the commit fails because the pre commit hook only understands 'Item8640:'. This should be more relaxed to accept spaces.
