I have noticed that when upgrading group topic format and my own name is already in a group it gets added once more in the setting.

It has no functional impact and the UI only lists it once. But I fear it will bite us one day so we'd better make sure the code prevents redundant entries.

The GROUP variable sometimes has got the same user being added multiple times after upgrade.

Duplicate of other bugs. Both open and fixed. So No action though it was a real issue
