On Chrome (Mac) this is the result:

The size of the contents changes per step, perhaps this is the reason?

Ah, I knew that would probably bite me. IIRC I had to set a size for the overall animation container for the nav links to be positioned properly.

Then each animation step is supposed to fit inside that container. If it doesn't, things get screwy.

Confirmed - Also shows scroll bars on Chrome Linux.
