Item9879: configure needs to fit on 1024 pixel wide screen without horizontal scrolling

specifically, "Web Server Environment" and Extensions | Install and update extensions | Install and Update Extensions (screenshots taken in Chrome)

Important yes, but I will ship 1.1.1 without this fixed as it is annoying only to the admin during installation and maintenance if he uses a netbook.

For the normal user the 1024 works fine.

I am downgrading this to normal.

It is not critical that the admin can run configure in 1024 wide. Not a release blocker type error.

It should be fixed but we could break many other things in the process so it should be carefully fixed and tested.

Possible fixes: make the side menu collapsible and reduce the width of input fields. Still, some text output is wider than the screen width, so scrolling cannot be avoided at all times.

The redesigned tabs interface in Foswiki 1.2 appears to address this. Using a 1024x768 window, I don't see any horizontal scrolling. It seems to be reasonably usable from a cell phone browser (tried dolphin on android 4.4.2). Setting to Waiting for release.
