I am working on building a hyperfast test, demo and personal use Foswiki.
Initially it will be (as Strawberry Perl is) Windows specific, but I have visions that are hopefully not unattainable.

Very very interesting.
I am curious about one thing. If you only have a local perl, and FSA - how does the browser "load" the pages without a webserver?

If I understand correctly, Foswiki Stand Alone will act as a standalone web server (thus the name).

FSA makes it possible and simple to support many execution technologies using engines. Among them, there is one that turns Foswiki into a stand alone webserver. The current code (not yet on foswiki
SVN) is based on
CPAN:HTTP::Daemon. I'll rewrite it from scratch on top of
CPAN:Net::Server, thus it'll be much more flexible, powerful and feature-rich.
