Looking at http://foswiki.org/Main/ArthurClemens?rev=9 will show a layout caused by a view template that was not there at the time of revision 9.

Sounds reasonable; I don't think it's realistic to expect it to roll back the entire system state. I don't think we should attempt to fix this.

This is related to TWikibug:Item690. It would be terrific if I could browse in foswiki, considering a snapshot taken in a certain point in time.

But this is a feature request, not a bug...
