Yeah, we don't need the old one anymore.
However, I suggest to use
twiki_cgi
, since there are other engines that will use similar names, like
twiki_fastcgi
.

twiki
and remove the
.pl
from the others.

I would very much appreciate that URLs are as pretty as possible and if the _cgi is part of the URL then it is not really pretty.

_cgi
is not part of URL. After the changes on
Item5805, there are two options:
- Use traditional bin scripts (the same way all older versions worked. this way,
twiki_cgi
is not needed)
- Point /twiki to /bin/twiki_cgi (instead of /bin), so the "view", "edit", etc become part of
PATH_INFO
(this way, regular scripts are needed only for CLI usage)
No matter what choice you make, URL's will be the same as they always were.
