Taxonomy of the Community Web

The Community web contains all the topics that are related to community:

• Community activities
• Governance related topics
• Task Teams definitions and activities
• Meetings descriptions and minutes
• Anything else the Community needs, it is "by the community, for the community" after all

Community Topic Classification

Each topic in Community has a classification. Set it using the BasicForm when you edit a topic. Click on a classification below to generate a list of all Community topics currently listed in that category:

AdminTopic	option	Infrastructure topics (like this one)
ContentTemplate	option	Topics that are used as templates for generated content, ie, welcome emails
UXTaskTeam	option	Pages dedicated to work of the UserExperienceTaskTeam
StandardProcedures	option	Standard procedures for daily duties

Gateway Topics

All categories have an associated gateway topic that can be used to quickly locate all the topics belonging to it. Just click on the category name on the table above.

There is also special gateway for topics that has not been classified, SearchForUnclassifiedTopics.

• BasicForm: Form used for the topic classification.
• WebTopicEditTemplate: Topic Template used for new topics.

What should not be in Community

The following topics will be moved to their proper place by the WebsiteFacilitatorTaskTeam

• New Features requests (goes to Development web)
• Bugs notification (goes to Tasks web)
• Support requests (goes to Support web)
• Sandbox topics (goes to Development web)
• Personal pages (if it is a member of the community, goes to Users web, otherwise goes to Trash after notifying the author)
• Information about the product and the project (goes to Home web)
• Success stories (goes to Home web)
• News (goes to Home web)

I think these topics are not about the community thus they should go to the home web (which is about the product). See Tasks.Item29

I think it is important to keep all taxonomy discussion in one place instead of spreading them on the WebTaxonomy topics in different webs.
