Who am I?

My name is Terje Ness Andersen, I am a 26 year old Computer Science student from Norway. I am currently employed as a "Technical Student" at CERN, where I am working with TWiki.

What do I want?

What can I do?

Working with TWiki, I have gained valuable experience using Perl. We will soon deploy some local enhancements to the LdapContrib package, which could eventually be fed back to Foswiki's version of the package. The features include:

• Migration support from WikiUserMapping to LdapUserMapping.
• Locking mechanism to the BerkeleyDB v1 database using DB_File::Lock.
• Preserving WikiNames belonging to users being deleted from the LDAP server.
• Optional Cache file backup when it's refreshed.
• Adding U2CREATED and U2UPDATED fields.
• (Separate plugin): Dynamic admin panel for changing WikiNames, deleting users, deleting groups, viewing statistics etc.
• (Separate plugin): Creating an LDAP-generated summary when hovering over a WikiName in a topic.

Why do I want to do it?

To help the community, and give something back after discussing LdapContrib changes in the Foswiki Tasks web as well on the #foswiki IRC channel.
