GuentherFischer Would Like to Check-in
Who am I?
I'm responsible for networking at the Technical University in Chemnitz/Germany and I have 8 colleagues in my team. We do all from cabeling to routers and also some basic network services like dns, dhcp, email, web, voip and wiki too. I do the wiki part and are now moving to foswiki. Besides basic installation I had have to do some local extensions:
- Shibboleth-Auth combined with traditional auth for external users
- some coding on CMS based on TWiki - the websites in our computercenter http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/urz/ are done with it for some year
- the websites are written in Wiki and published tu the Web with a author link back to wiki
- for better menue tuning I have taken quickmenu
What do I want?
write access to
SVN for the following branches:
twikiplugins
What can I do?
Foswiki Developer is bit too much ...
I am very interested in getting the newest quickmenu running with foswiki. Here I hope I can help in testing. I'm no java/javascript programmer but perhaps I can help the origin developer of quickmenu. As I see there are now compatibility problems TWiki/Foswiki. With some static changes of some Web and Topic names I got it running, but I don't know - is this the right way. Could it be code to have it runing with TWiki and Foswiki? Could it done by extending the CompatibilityPlugin?
I have stopped my investigation in using quickmenu. I've done the needed changes for our wiki-CMS with pattern skin - I have this tools now, well documented and I think much more stable.
Now I'm ready (it's running
with the
ShibbolethLoginManager as a third
LoginManager in my Foswiki. I'm willing to put some documentation, code and templates to foswiki.org as an example.
I could also write my experiences with
renaming the SYSTEMWEB - there is a task about the difficulties doingso.
Why do I want to do it?
Foswiki Developer is bit too much ... I will move to Foswiki. If possible I will give some expiriences back to the community.
Other Notes
My time slots for Foswiki are small, so I can only do parts I need directly for our TU Chemnitz - Foswiki.
Topics I have contributed to
Welcome Guenther, hope you enjoy your time
