VadimBelman Would Like to Check-in
Who am I?
I'm a sysadmin and developer with long-term Perl experience.
What do I want?
write access to the foswiki github account for the following repositories or tools:
- Access:
- Access: Translations
- Access: wikiplugins
What can I do?
Perl development, database management and many other which are most likely and unfortunately useless with respect to possible help to the project.
I can help in translating to Ukrainian and Russian languages.
Why do I want to do it?
Wiki is one of the core technologies used in my area of responsibility. Unfortunately it was lacking of complete and flexible database access. Therefore I developed
DBIQueryPlugin for by then actively developed TWiki projet. As it is time to move to much better and more advanced Foswiki platform I'd like to contribute my job to it.
Other Notes
Topics I have contributed to
Welcome!
I've sent you an invitation to the github Foswiki Developers team. Right now the
Foswiki Developers team has limited github repository access - let us
know what repositories you want to access, and I'll get them added. We
didn't add all of them initially just because of the effort. They get
added as needed.
It's good if possible to use the same email address for foswiki.org,
github and translate.foswiki.org. To help with translations, you need
to register on
http://translate.foswiki.org/ and by using the same
email address, commits to weblate translations will also attribute to
you in the github commits, and task updates.
You should subscribe to
foswiki-translations@lists.sourceforge.net.
That's low volume for translator communications.
All commits and also reports of translation string issues are sent to
foswiki-svn@lists.sourceforge.net. That can be a bit noisy depending
on commit volumes, but it's not a discussion list.
The developers usually do most collaboration on the #foswiki channel of
IRC. It's a combined support & developers channel.
Things are a bit different from TWiki due to our use of git as a repo.
There is a lot of developers documentation in
http://foswiki.org/Development/DevelopersBible.

Hello Clark,
Thanks for approving my application. Unfortunately the email I used for initial registration didn't make it thru to my profile and I didn't check it out in first place. Perhaps this is why I haven't received your invitation.
For the moment I do need no other access but to
DatabaseContrib and
DBIQueryContrib repositories. Actually it seems that the first one doesn't even exists yet. Otherwise as soon as I finish polishing both extensions locally in my personal repo I gonna be ready to submit them for public use.
Meanwhile I have complete my registration on the translations site. Not that I'm gonna be an active translator but fixing some most obvious mistakes is what I most definitely gonna do sometimes.
Thanks for your attention!
